Hi, I'm Samuel Oladosu

PhD candidate at the University of Lille, working at the IEMN laboratory in collaboration with STMicroelectronics. My doctoral research focuses on the advanced functional packaging of millimeter-wave passive and active measurement probes in G-band (140–220 GHz), essential for validating advanced silicon microelectronic chips. My work aims to advance the applicability and reliability of high-frequency measurement instrumentation within complex instrumentation and system integration environments.

About Me

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Lille, conducting my research at the Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (IEMN) in collaboration with STMicroelectronics, and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). My PhD research focuses on the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of passive and active G-band probes for the validation of SiGe BiCMOSS B55X advanced silicon technologies.
The goal is rationalize test cost and broaden the applicability of exiting measurement instrumentation that makes engineers to fully characterize next-generation advanced silicon technologies chips with a single compact probe, no bulky bench setup, and minimal measurement chain losses.

I use this platform to document my journey, share research insights, and connect with fellow engineers, researchers in the field of RF and microwave industry.

IEMN-DOC Entrant Day

The IEMN's new entrants' day was held on Friday, January 30, 2026 in the LCI amphitheater of IEMN. On this occasion, I gave a 1-minute presentation of my work followed by a poster communication session.

JUNIA Research Day

I gave a poster presentation of my work on October 3, 2025. JUNIA Research Day brought together researchers, companies and local authorities for a day of sharing, interdisciplinarity and innovation. The aim was to stimulate the development of collaborative projects and promote the expertise of the research and innovation ecosystem.

STMicroelectronics-IEMN ANNUAL MEETING

As part of my PhD program, I gave a talk about the status of my ongoing PhD work with focus on the design and simulation of GSG probes and planar-to-waveguide transitions. The ST-IEMN Joint Lab held its annual meeting in Crolles, France on May 14th, 2025. Among the representatives present were PhD candidates and researchers from IEMN lab and several STMicroelectronics employees participating both onsite and virtually.
